On November 19, 2020, AEL inducted 11 new members to the Virginia Tech chapter. Because of the COVID-19 pandemic, the induction ceremony was held virtually. Chapter President Jonilda Bahja and Treasurer Tawni Paradise welcomed the new members and guests. The induction included remarks from Vice President and Dean for Graduate Education Karen P. DePauw and from national AEL organization founder John Capece.
